Whiteboard Video: Mapping 101
One of the most powerful capabilities of Clicktools software is its ability to centralize data in your CRM system. Whoa. What does that mean?
Let’s discuss. If you want to run surveys (or create web forms of any kind, for that matter), you can build them in Clicktools. But what happens to the responses that come back? Do you store them in a spreadsheet? No. Ideally, you store them right in your CRM system, so that customer-facing teams across your organization can access and act on the customer feedback.
So, how do you get the response data into CRM without manually entering it? Mapping!
Mapping means linking individual data elements from one solution (e.g. Clicktools) to another solution (e.g. CRM). In this case, we’d map survey response data to standard or custom objects in CRM. But rather than explaining further, take a look at this Whiteboard Video on Mapping 101. It provides a brief visual overview of why and (conceptually) how to map data from surveys to CRM.
In about two minutes, you’ll fully understand why it isn’t as scary as it seems to link data from one system to another. In fact, it’s easy enough for total non-techies to do without requiring IT rescue missions of any kind.
