The following outlines the new functionality available in the March '06 release:
  • Comprehensive context sensitive help with search and index - Clicking help in the app now will now open Help for that page if it is available. In addition there is a full index and search facility incorporated in the new help.
  • Publish reports to PDF - There is an 'Export' link at the bottom of reports which will create a PDF of the report, useful for offline viewing or distribution of report data.
  • Result filters can now be shared with other users - Result filters can now be shared with other users. Simply select shared to 'Yes' to allow other people to access the saved filter (only the creator can edit or delete the filter). Additionally filters are now saved against the survey not the instance, so any saved filters will be available for all instances of a survey.
  • Filtering extended to 'multi' question types - You can now define filters incorporating all the 'multi' question types. Filtering is therefore now available on every question type except date.
  • Crosstabs on 'multi' question types - You can now crosstab using 'multi' question types, including crosstabbing two options of the same question against each other.
  • Easy insert question option - You can now easily move options up in the question editor by clicking the up arrow to the right of the option. To insert a new option just create a new option and use the arrows to move it to the desired position. Remember that changing the options of a live question with results will effect the results.
  • Export url, host and number of responses as extra columns in results export - You can add these additional response columns to the results export. The url is the actual unique url for that survey response, the host is the host address where the survey was completed from and the number of responses is the total number of questions completed by the respondent.
  • Uncheck radio buttons in a survey - Standard browser radio buttons do not allow de-selection (once selected you can only change your selection not remove your selection completely), Clicktools radio buttons can now be de-selected however -- simply click again to de-select.
  • Flexible validation of numeric input - Numeric and Multi-numeric question types can now be set to Decimal, Positive Decimal, Integer or Positive Integer and input is restricted accordingly.
  • Japanese application support - Japanese has been added to the set of supported languages for the application. Clicktools can now be used in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. Surveys can be run concurrently in any number of languages.
