Find Clicktools on the UK G-Cloud
Clicktools is now included in the UK Government’s G-Cloud ii Programme – the second version of the G-Cloud CloudStore, which initially launched in February 2012. G-Clould ii became available in late October 2012, offering services from 458 suppliers – twice the number of the initial G-Cloud launch.
Among other stated goals, the G-Cloud aims to improve efficiencies and reduce costs associated with how the public sector procures and operates Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
According to an Information Age article, “Since the first version of CloudStore was launched, public sector organisations have been able to buy a range of IT services on a ‘pay-as-you-go’ basis. This provides the government with more flexibility when deploying approved cloud-based applications and services that can be shared across departments.”
Like Clicktools, many of the providers listed on the G-Cloud are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In fact, of the £2.2 million reportedly spent so far, 70% of purchases were with SMEs. The UK government has articulated that the programme does indeed intend to enable its public sector “…to procure in a way that encourages a dynamic and responsive supplier marketplace and supports emerging suppliers.”
Also listed on the G-Gloud is SaaS CRM leader, Salesforce. Clicktools integrates with Salesforce to enable organisations to collect, centralize, and act on customer interactions, leveraging the power of CRM.
