The difference is that an internal rep accesses the form/script and fills out the responses in real-time as they talk through the questions with the prospect or customer on the phone. Of course, this works for both inbound and outbound calls.

Once the rep submits the script, the data integrates immediately with CRM, creating or updating Lead/Contact/etc. record(s), according to how you’ve mapped the data.
