Don’t Waste Customer Data — Manually Sync Partially Completed Surveys
Whenever you send a survey, you know that not every single recipient will complete it. So, is there a way to capture partially completed surveys, where the respondent answered some questions but didn’t finish it?
Yes, Clicktools allows you to manually synch partial responses. This way, you never leave valuable customer insights out in the void. Just as with completed surveys (which are automatically synchronized upon clicking Submit), you can collect partial responses and centralize them in your CRM environment. The only difference is that you have to do it manually. But fear not – it’s quite a simple process.
Follow steps 1-3 to manually sync partially completed survey responses.
Essentially, you can use the functionality in the synch screen to manually push results into your CRM environment based on criteria you determine. The key is to figure out those criteria. For example, you may decide that any response older than three weeks, which has not been submitted, and has more than six questions completed is worthwhile pushing to CRM.
To work out what status is right for you, think about how many hidden questions get auto-populated as soon as the link is clicked, and then how many visible questions you want. For example, you have a 10 question survey, with two hidden questions and one NPS™ question on the first page. You may want to consider a status of 3/10 or more should be synched (i.e. they have completed the NPS question).
PRO TIP: Each time a respondent clicks a navigation button to move to the next (or previous) page of a survey, responses to that page are stored in Clicktools. Consider having your most important questions at the beginning of the survey and using a progress bar to show respondents how much (or how little) they have left to do.
